WHO WE ARE
We are a small team of WiFi naming enthusiasts, part-time sysadmins, and full-time people who have spent an embarrassing amount of time thinking about what makes a truly great SSID.
Our founding question was simple: why does everyone have a terrible WiFi name? The technology exists. The creativity exists. The 32-character limit exists. And yet, millions of routers around the world are silently broadcasting names like "TP-Link_Home" to their neighbors, completely unremarkable, completely wasted.
We decided to fix that. One WiFi name list at a time.

WHAT WE DO
We write the most comprehensive, well-organized, and genuinely funny WiFi name lists on the internet. Currently over 31 posts and counting, covering:
- Language-specific WiFi names in Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and Filipino
- Theme lists for cat lovers, dog lovers, gamers, programmers, nurses, and couples
- Fandom lists for Harry Potter, Star Wars, Friends, Breaking Bad, and more

- Practical guides for getting your WiFi password from a QR code, checking password strength, and connecting guests without spelling out your 28-character passphrase letter by letter
We also built two free tools that run entirely in your browser — a WiFi QR Code Generator and a WiFi Password Strength Checker — because typing WiFi passwords aloud should be considered a violation.

OUR APPROACH
We take WiFi names seriously so you do not have to.
Every list on this site is written by an actual human being who thought carefully about which names are funny, which are clever, which are specific enough to land for the right audience, and which are just bad. We do not scrape, spin, or AI-slop our content. We sit down, we think, and we write.
Our promise: if a name is on this site, it is because we genuinely think it is good. This is a curated collection, not an exhaustive data dump.

THE PHILOSOPHY
A WiFi name is a small thing. It sits quietly in your neighbors' device lists, briefly visible whenever someone searches for a network. Most people will never connect to it. But for one second, a genuinely good WiFi name will make someone smile — a stranger you will never meet, someone who happened to scan at the right moment.
We think that is worth something.
Also, "The Promised LAN" is objectively one of the best things a human being has ever named a router, and we will defend this position.
